(Left to Right) James Spivey (instructor), Bonita Spivey (instructor), Al Kulakoff, Tom Szalay, Danny Tips, Larry Grubb, Gary Mowery, Albert Hendricks, Paul Rabe, Gerald Lacy, and Chuck Lee. This class was a two day beginner level work shop designed to teach a simple and inexpensive method to repair chips in clock case veneer or furniture. This method works well for small fingernail size chips up to 1 to 2 inch irregular blemishes. This workshop includes information and demonstrations regarding matching stains and finishes on repaired portions of furniture and clock cases, as well as cleaning and finish restoration. Gary Mowery and Larry Grubb work on their 'projects'. Is Tom Szalay taking class time to do his ironing?? Not really. Tom is using an iron to apply the veneer. Instructor James Spivey and Chapter 124 Education Director Russ Aikins discuss some restoration techniques.
Paul Rabe struggles with his problem. Instructor Bonita Spivey watches and advises. Dan Tips is determined to do it right! Instructor James Spivey demonstrates the use of a small power sander. Gerald Lacy is busy with his restorations.
