Dave Barnes is shaping replacement barrel teeth. (Left to Right) Robert Connell, Mike Coker (front row), Terry Carpenter, Pat Flanagan (front row), Tim Cronin, Ron Oorlog, Dave Barnes (front row), Dan Cole and Phil Ball (teaching partner). This class was taught by Ron Van Ness. Tim Cronin is replacing the piercing saw blade. Pat Flanagan uses the piercing saw to cut an opening in a spring barrel for the brass plug.
Mike Coker is using a belt sander to modify files for use in barrel tooth replacement. Ron Oorlog is cutting a brass plug to be soldered in a spring barrel. Bob Connell is modifying jewelers files to use in barrel tooth replacement. Whoops! Lucky for Bob Connell, the saw blades are not expensive.
